摘要：在现代文明高度发展的今天，明式家具依然是各国设计师尊奉的典范。明式家具的独到之处是多方面的，不仅具有“简、厚、精、雅”的艺术特色，还有丰富而严谨的榫卯结构，除此之外，明式家具在人机工程学上的应用也让我们后人叹为观止。
人机工程学在现代设计过程中已成为设计师自觉考虑的一个重要因素，它的研究内容主要有下列几个方面：人体测量学，生理解剖学及心理学;目的是使人在 使用产品时获得高效，舒服，安全，健康的感受。尽管人体工程学在20世纪初就作为一门科学被系统提出，人们也普遍认同此为人体工程学的起源，实际上早在数千年前，人类制造出来的物品如家具，劳动工具等已经反映出了人机工程学的运用。
其中明式家具作为世界家具史上的经典，在造型、材料、结构等上面已经达到非常高的水平了，其人机工程学的应用不仅体现出中国古代劳动人民的智慧，而且更值得我们当代的设计师去研究、继承与发扬。5686
