Eco-translatological Study of Two Chinese Versions of Tess of the D'Urbervilles,英语论文生态翻译视角下《德伯家的苔丝》的两个中译本的研究

Abstract Professor Hu Gengshen put forward the theory of Eco-translatology, turning the theory of “translation as Adaptation and Selection” of Darwin’s evolutionism into translation studies。 Tess of the D'Urbervilles is one of the most well-known works of Thomas Hardy。 The thesis deals mainly with two Chinese versions of Tess, among which, one is translated by Zhang Guruo the other by Sun Fali。 The thesis tries to analyze the two Chinese versions of Tess by making use of the points view of the relevance chain, homology and selection and adaptation。 Through the analysis above, the paper concludes that both translations have their own merits。 The success of the two translations of Tess of the D'Urbervilles benefits from the two translators’ good adaptation and selection in the translational eco-environment, and the theory of Eco-translatology can also guide and be applied to translation practices。 Eco-translatologial study of Tess’s two Chinese versions not only broadens its application scope, but also gives a new perspective to the studies of Tess’s translations。73541

1.Introduction

It is generally known that translation studies have already turned out to be culture-oriented since 1970s, and this important cultural turn has had great influence on Chinese society。 At the beginning of the 1990s, culture-oriented transition activities have become increasing popular among the majority of translators。 A lot of translation theorists and translators have payed close attention to cultural turn at that time。 After a few years, human beings have increasingly enhanced their environmental consciousness, and they begin to show respect for cultural persity towards the outside world, thus the global ecological thought has prevailed over the whole country。 With the rise of such global trend of returning to nature, more and more people advocate ecological food, ecotourism, as well as healthy and balanced living environment。 The word ecology has turned out to be a way of scientific thinking , and it also has a deeper meaning together with a more extensive mass base。 The word ecology has been one of the highest frequently-used vocabularies in the newspapers or government documents at home and abroad in recent years。 And what is of ultmost importance is that the ecological turn in translation studies have become possible。 In academia, environmentalism has transcended the science, geography, the boundary of the social science and entered the field of humanities。 People will pay more attention to the broader survival environment than culture。 Under such development tendency, all sorts of subjects and researches related to ecology already have mushroomed miraculously。 文献综述 生态翻译视角下《德伯家的苔丝》的两个中译本的研究:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_83927.html
