ABSTRACT With the development of technology and mass media, movie has become one of the most important ways of spreading culture. Every year, thousands of movies are filmed, usually, a movie contains the essence of a national culture. As the world’s leading cultural nation, America spares no efforts in the promotion of film culture. There are several famous film factories in America, and American movies are famous for huge investments, superb technology and strong cast, both art films and commercial films. Speaking of American movies, the American history and culture have to be mentioned. Those films play a leading role in spreading American values and culture to the whole world. During all these films, one of the enduring themes is heroism. American heroism films have become popular and have dominated the world film market. American movies create many heroic images which are quite popular among people, especially among teenagers. American values and characteristics of heroism are distilled in these movies, and these values and thoughts are taught since American were kids. In addition, American education also stresses these values.46607
    The purpose of this paper is to analyze American heroism based on the movie Captain America. The first part of this paper is the overall introduction of the American heroism based on the movies. The second part is literature review, and this part makes a simple summary of some other authors’ points of view. The third part introduces the characteristics of American heroism, such as self- confidence, bravery and fearlessness, the pursuit of freedom and truth and inpidualism. The forth part of the paper is to analyze the causes of American heroism from historical and economic perspectives, the characteristics of personality and American Values. And the last part is conclusion.

 摘  要随着科技技术和大众传媒的发展和更新，电影已经成为了传播文化的重要途径之一，每年都会拍摄成千上万部的电影，通常来说，一部电影包含了一个民族文化的精髓。作为世界上知名的文化大国，美国在推动电影文化发展上一直不遗余力。众所周知，世界上有很多著名的电影工厂，其中美国电影则因为巨大的投资，一流的特效和强大的演员阵容而闻名全球，不论是商业片还是艺术片。说到美国电影就不得不提到美国文化和美国历史，而这些电影在向全世界传播美国的价值观和文化中发挥主导作用。在所有的这些电影中，经久不衰的主题之一就是英雄主义。英雄主义的美国电影已经得到了市场的肯定并且已经占据了世界电影市场，他们创造出了很多英雄形象。美国的价值观和英雄主义的特点都在在这些电影中得到了完美的体现，美国人从小就被灌输这些价值观和观念，而且美国的教育对此也特别重视。
   这篇文章的目的是从电影《美国队长》来分析美国英雄主义。本文的第一个部分是在电影内容的基础上对美国英雄注意简单的介绍，第二个部分是文献综述，这是对前人观点的一个总结。第三个部分是概括美国英雄主义的特点，比如自信， 英勇无畏，对自由和真理的追寻和个人主义。第四部分是从历史和经济角度以及美国人的性格和价值观角度分析美国英雄主义出现的原因。最后一个部分是论文的总结。
