b.    The marriage focus only on transient passion and lack of thinking.
It can reflect by the marriage of George Wickham and Lydia Bennet. The combination of them was imprudent, blind as well as rational happiness and worldly prosperity absent. Mr. Wickham is a superficially charming officer in the militia who lives a life of idleness, profligacy and dissipation. As a gamester, he owns a great debt of honor. He elopes with Lydia, with no intention of marrying her but just a companion, which would have resulted in her complete disgrace, but for Darcy's intervention to force Wickham to marry her. Mr. Wickham’s love for Lydia is much less than her love to him and this combination in his eyes is a good way to get rid of his debt and gain a long-term meal ticket. His avaricious and slothful nature will not prevent him to find a solid financial support like Mr. Darcy.
Lydia is the youngest Bennet sister who is frivolous, ignorance and headstrong. Being spoiled by Mrs. Bennet, she is wild, self-willed and disdain of all restraints. She was captivated by Mr. Wickham’s charming outlook and address. Her blind love for Mr. Wickham is the passion caused by appearance and carnal lust. Her elopement disgraces her family. However, without notice it, she was proud of her marriage with Mr. Wickham and flaunted her wedding ring to her neighbors and servants. The combination of them lack of reason and true love. Their passions were stronger than their virtues.
c.    The marriages focus on true love with necessary financial power
It can reflect by the marriage of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, Jane Bennet and Charles Bingley.
The marriage between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy is the most ideal one among Miss Bennets. Their marriage was built on the basis of mutual understanding and admiration, with the support of considerable wealth. They had suffered a lot of misunderstanding and difficulties, fortunately the power of love overcame everything. Elizabeth, the second daughter in Bennets, is attractive, intelligent, vivacious, humorous and quick-witted but with a tendency to judge other on her first impression. She is the ideal image of woman created by Austen. She firmly believes that emotional attachment of lovers is the foundation of a perfect marriage. She refused the proposal of Mr. Collins without hesitation for that she knew he will never be the right person for her. However, Elizabeth’s ill first impression on Mr. Darcy and the blind trust of what Mr. Wickham had said almost ruined her happiness.
For her refusal of Mr. Darcy’s offer in the first time, was driven by her prejudice as well as the arrogance and rudeness showed by Mr. Darcy. Mr. Darcy is a handsome but haughty young gentleman with a great fortune who cares nobody except his family and friends. However, Mr. Darcy is also a charming, well-bred and attractive man. Elizabeth’s fine eyes and her liveliness captured his heart. Unfortunately, he arose Elizabeth’s prejudice by his comment of E “tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt him”. The love story between them didn’t go well firstly since both sides have their prides and prejudices on the other. After reading the letter which wrote by Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth removes all her bias and Mr. Darcy gets rid of his pride. All the changes made by Mr. Darcy touched the heart of Elizabeth and his help to Lydia won her admiration. After all the struggles, their story ends up to be a happy one.
Another pair of lovers who really love each other in the story is Jane and Mr.Bingley. Their marriage was desirable in every aspect, promising for happiness for that, according Elizabeth, they had for basis the excellent understanding and super-excellent disposition of Jane, and a general similarity of feeling and taste. Jane, the eldest daughter in Bennets, is considered the most beautiful young lady in the neighborhood. She is kind-hearted, apt to like people and never set a fault in anybody. She falls in love with Mr. Bingley, a rich man who has recently moved to Hertfordshire. Unfortunately, the shyness and reservation of Jane and the irresolution and diffidence of Mr. Bingley blocked them. 《傲慢与偏见》和《金锁记》中的婚恋观比较英语论文(4):http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_449.html
