2.1. The Background of Jane Austen
As one of the most famous British female novelists in history, Jane Austen (1775-1817) mainly focused on women’s marriages and lives in the squire family. Jane Austen was born in a Christian family on December 1775, in Steventon, Hampshire, England. There were totally 8 brothers and sisters in her family. She was a beautiful, talented, middle-class woman with good temperament and a good upbringing. Although Austin entered a formal school, the good family conditions and reading environment also made great contribution to her self-study, and also encouraged the interest of her writing. What is more, Austin started the writing habit when she was only 16, only for family entertainment. Although only 21 year old, she wrote her first novel “First Impressions” (she rewrote it 19 years later, namely Pride and Prejudice). She was not a writer of long life, and she got sick at the beginning of 1816. Before long, her body was weak. Unfortunately she died in 1817, leaving not many works that she has only six representative works: Sense and Sensibility; Pride and Prejudice; Northanger Abbey; Mansfield Park; Emma; Persuasion. 《傲慢与偏见》中的婚姻观分析:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_39229.html
