Abstract
The author, Dr. Spencer Johnson, is one of the world’s most influential thinkers and beloved authors. His ten international best-selling books include Who Moved My Cheese?. Over 40 million copies of Dr. Johnson’s books are in print in 42 languages. Who Moved My Cheese? is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. The word “cheese” here is a metaphor for what people want to have in life——whether it is a good job, a loving relationship, money or a possession, health or spiritual peace of mind. And the maze is where they look for what they want——the organization they work in, or the family or community they live in.
The author is good at analyzing and solving the thesis problem with a simple but effective method. In his book, he always creates a community of the need and then tell them how to deal with the crisis and changes in this information age.“Cheese”is taken as a typical example of what people want in life. Who Moved My Cheese? gives an example of a change happened at school. It will tell people how to anticipate change, adapt to change quickly, enjoy change and be ready to change quickly again and again all one’s life, as only change remains never changed. Discover the secret of change for themselves and learn how to deal with change and then people would suffer from less stress and enjoy more success in their work and in their lives. Written for all ages, this story takes less than an hour to read, but its unique enlightment for people can last for their long lifetime.
