1 Introduction
1.1 Literature review
Educationalists have been trying to improve teaching quality for many years, of which the effects of movies on second language acquisition have drawn the attention of scholars at home and abroad. Brown, L. G. (2008)claimed that it is a very popular teaching method to apply multi-video to classroom instruction. Wu, T. L.(1993)said that interactive video (IVD) has the obvious advantages compared with traditional teaching methods because it makes it possible to create an authentic language environment and expand the range of classroom activities. Nation, S. P. (2006) proposed that movies have the advantages of providing strong visual support and watching movies can help the growth of vocabulary. In China, Hu (2011) has expressed her view that British and American movies can provide students with platforms to learn and understand foreign cultures by triggering students’ enthusiasm and initiative to learn. This will allow students to take the initiative in the English learning “situation”. In addition, Isnaili, M. (2013), Gambrell, B. and Jawits, B. (1993) concluded that movies can deepen students’ original understanding of a concept or story through combing the new background information provided by movies because the EFL students may activate prior knowledge when appreciating movies in class. Isnaili, M. (2013) claimed that movies may help develop writing skills because they provide motivating clues accompanying audio or written inputs, also fostering comprehension and oral expression. 看电影对二语习得的影响:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_23969.html
