On Function and Cultivation of the Non-intelligence Factors in English Learning of Primary School

Chapter one  Introduction

1。1 Background

Language learning is a very complicated process of cognitive and knowledge skills。 Especially English learning is enslaved to more factors than other language learning。 (Wang Liya,2008) English learning is a quite complicated process, in this process, each condition and factor have their functions, intelligence factors and non-intelligence factors are two of the most basic and most important factors。 They have a direct influence on English learning。 (Ma Xiaohong,1999)

When it comes to English learning, some parents and teachers only pay attention to intellectual factors, they think that learning quality mainly depends on the intelligence。 Some students also consider that they can't learn English well because they are too stupid。 In fact, for most people, English learning mainly depends on non-intellectual factors。 However, in the traditional education in China, we always emphasize the development of intelligence and the transmission of knowledge, but we don't know that the progress of intelligence cannot leave the non- intellectual factors。

According to the idea and task of the new English curriculum of the basic education stage, it is not difficult to find that nowadays English teachers have paid more attention to the students' learning interest, emotion, attitude and habit of non-intellectual, instead of paying attention to the original basic knowledge, students' intelligence developing factors。 (Gong Xiaohong,2010)

1。2 Significance and purpose文献综述

Grasping the psychological characteristics of students and letting students learn well are the connotation of English Teaching。 Respect is the basis of students' confidence。 Patience is the premise of self-improvement。 Interest is the motivation of learning actively。 In the process of English learning, non-intelligence factors affect students' English learning。 (Ma Lixia,2013)

The good motivation and the lasting interest of English learning are the basic guarantee for learning English。 People should try to understand the current situation and the development needs of children in English learning。 Students' appropriate and correct motivation of English learning is helpful for students to form a strong interest in learning。 If students' interest in learning English can become a major part of the learning motivation, English learning will get twice the result with half the effort and persistence。
