Abstract Due to the high speed development of the Internet, network language comes into being。 With the globalizationof world economy, how to understand and use network catchwords in our communication is a real problem。 Network catchwords, as a special-purpose English language that has its characteristics, such as popular, succinct, simple and so on。In the translation, we should take into account these features, flexible use of literal translation, free translation, transliteration, mix translation and not translation methods。 This paper mainly focuses on the word-formation methods, some semantic characteristicsand the translation of network catchwords。 75199
