Bilingual education is a kind of trend in educational reform, or regarded as an inevitable result when English teaching has developed to a certain degree。 In the traditional English teaching, English is a compulsory course and subject knowledge to be taught just like math, history or chemistry。 Though it is conducted every day, and teachers and students work hard, the teaching-learning effect is not that satisfactory, with the result that those who have learned English for more than a decade are still unable to speak English fluently, especially in some professional and academic fields。 As is said, it just cultivates a group of dummy and deaf English learners, because of the narrow study scope, monotonous contents and single teaching approach。 On the contrary, bilingual education has taken English as the teaching language, combining English learning with the improvement of subject knowledge, cultures, humanity and scientific literacy, which aims at enabling students to learn language as they learn subject knowledge, as well as experiencing the teaching idea of “combining study and practice”。
