With the rapid development of today’s society, the world we live has already become a global village which increasingly relies on the mass media。 On the one hand, the internet, an emerging industry, provides a vast platform for various kinds of news to spread rapidly。 Geographically speaking, there are international news, national news and local news; topically, there are political news, economic news, technological news, entertainment news and so much like that。 On the other hand, for most people, reading news has become an indispensable part of life, and also, an irreplaceable channel to have a better understanding of the development of other countries and other cultures。 来自优W尔Y论W文C网WWw.YoueRw.com 加QQ7520,18766

Thanks to the global news industry, which is with the combination of news and translation, the imagination of being timely informed about the what is happening in the outside world while not going out of home in ancient time now actually has realized。 Besides, it is also an effective way to help people have a better understanding of different languages, customs and cultures of different countries and regions。 And at the same time, English has become a global language。 At present, it may be one foreign language with the largest speaking population in our country。 Thus, news translation between English and Chinese has become much necessary not only for spreading international news faster in speed and more in quantity, but also for our country’s progress of opening up and modernization。 

Since news translation is playing such a significant role in one country’ constructive development in the current international situation, it is quite necessary for translators to improve their translating level comprehensively and also responsibly as a response。 Specifically, first of all, they need to be proficient in both Chinese and English, cultivating themselves a sensitiveness about the differences between Chinese and English, such as vocabulary, sentence pattern, expression habits and etc。; secondly, be familiar with both Chinese and English cultures, enlarging a wide range of knowledge scope covering more different fields; last but not least, fully play their subjectivity in judging and assessing the certain translation situations, so as to select the most suitable translation theories and apply the most effective translation strategies in translation。 

Generally speaking, studies on news translation at home and abroad mainly focus on the following three aspects: First, role and translation methods of news agencies and reporters; second, comparison between the original text and the translation text with the purpose of analysis, evaluation and rectifications of translations; third, relations of news translation with culture, ethics and politics (Cai Shaokui, 2008: 6)。

2。2 Research Significance

 Currently in the translation community of China, the development of academic research is in a bottleneck and the existence of a large quantity of poor qualified translation works lag the overall level of translation practice behind the international advanced standard。 As for the news translation research, though there have some scholars who have published relevant papers about news translation and translators’ subjectivity, however, most of them are similar ones with inane or empirical translation criticism or translation theories which have little creativity。 And also some practical translation works among the increasing number of news translation assignments are still not so much satisfying。 One of the reasons behind may be a common dilemma facing by most of the translators that it is difficult to find the proper translation theories or put the suitable translation strategies into the real practice though such theories seems to be easy to talk about in paper, which undoubtedly, leads to a large number of poor qualified news translation versions。 So at present, a further theoretical research about this topic become extremely urgent。  从目的论的视角看译者在新闻翻译中的主体性(4):http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_196474.html
