Gone with the wind
The story happened in the period of the American Civil War. The heroine Scarlett O’Hara is a daughter of a rich planer.And the story mainly talk about the three marriages of Scarlett and her growth.
The first marriage is cursory and absurd.She loves Ashley but Ashley chose to marry with Melanie.She was sad and angry.So she decided to marry with Charles Hamilton for making Ashley angry.So her first m,arriage is unreasonable and ridiculours. Charles died on the way to war,so Scarlett became a widow.Her first marriage became a tragdy.
The second marriage is for money to rescue her manor. At that time the south army was in a bad situation. South people started to lose their homeland. That’s not a good idea to married with her sister’s boyfriend ,but she did so just for living, for her sisters and Melanie and the minor. Because her dad has told her that the land is the most important thing in this world. But it’s also a tragedy. After the funeral of Frank,Scarlett married with Rhett Butler.He loved Scarlett deeply and help her selfless.on the one hand,she wanted to conquer the guy and on the other hand she wanted for money.But her third marriage still was a trsgedy.She didn’t forget Ashely and didn’t realized that she had fell in love with Rhett.At last Rhett chose to leave her.
Scarlett’s three marriages reflected her characters and growth under the turbulent social background. She was a such a obstinate and unruly,wilful but intelligent and tough girl.
