摘要人脸作为重要的生物识别特征，向外界传递着众多的信息。而年龄信息作为其中的一种特征信息，在人机交互、安全检测、视频监测等领域都有着广泛的应用价值。
近几年，随着各种人脸识别与年龄估计算法的提出，年龄估计有了很大的发展。但这依然是一个充满挑战性的课题。因为年龄估计的结果受太多外界环境的影响，且由于每个人的生活环境和生活状态的不同，个人表现出的衰老模式也不同，这些都给年龄估计带来了很多困难。87146
本文在已有研究的基础上，利用MATLAB和C#语言实现人脸识别与年龄估计系统。借助于MATLAB强大的图形处理和数学计算能力来实现算法，再利用C#编程语言进行代码调用以及最终的结果展示。此外，本系统还在MATLAB中引入了libsvm工具箱来实现支持向量机分类器。这样为使用支持向量机进行模型的训练、分类和年龄的预测提供了便利，简化了工作。实验证明，使用上述工具和算法来实现年龄估计是完全可行的。

Abstract As the most important biometric features, a human face image transmit a large number of information to outside world。 As one of those features, age information has wide application value in human-computer interaction, security protection and video surveillance。
In recent years, age estimation has achieved great advances with the proposal of various age estimation and face detection algorithm。 However, there are still some challenging problems because the estimated results are highly dependent on many external factors。 Besides, the aging processes of people vary widely because everyone has his own lifestyle and living environment。 All of these bring a lot of problems to age estimation。
On the basis of existing research, the MATLAB and C# are used to design and realize the age estimation system in this paper。 MATLAB is employed because of its powerful ability of image processing and mathematical computation。 C# is used to realize the user interface and show the results。 In addition, libsvm toolbox in MATLAB is used to train a SVM classifier, which is convenient for us to predict age。 Experimental results show that it is entirely feasible to estimate age by using the proposed tools and algorithms。
