Abstract
As the most outstanding work of Lin Yutang, Moment in Peking is welcomed by readers all over the world. In this book Lin Yutang has created many different women like Mulan, Mochow, Mannia,Sunyun, Redjade and so on. These women are created with different characteristics and they all show the unique beauties to readers. From those colorful and vivid women, we can see Lin Yutang’s unique view on females. In Lin Yutang’s mind, the beauty of females is unique in different periods. From Mulan and Mannia, we can see the beauty of a fair young girl. From Mulan and Mochow, we can find the beauty of an ideal wife. From Mulan and Chenma, we can learn the beauty of a wonderful mother. All these women in this book can show us Lin Yutang’s special view on women.
This thesis will be pided into four parts. In the first part, the background of Lin Yutang and Moment in Peking will be introduced briefly. In the second part, this paper will focus on Lin Yutag’s unique view on females. Then the foundations and limitations of Dr.Lin’s view on females will be explained in the third part. At the end, there is a brief conclusion.

摘要 《京华烟云》是林语堂先生众多著作中最为精彩的一本。这本小说享誉海内外，历来被人们所称道。在《京华烟云》中众多的女性角色给读者们留下了深刻的印象。木兰的可爱，曼妮的娴静，莫愁的机智，红玉的文采，这些性格各异的女性角色都展现出不一样的女性之美。而从这些性格各异的女子身上，我们也能看到林语堂先生独特的女性观。在林语堂先生的心中，女性的美是最为独特的。不同时期的女性，会展现出完全不同的。在木兰和曼妮身上，少女之美在于清秀的外貌和善良聪慧的性格。而作为妻子，莫愁和木兰都展现一个机智的妻子对于幸福婚姻的重要性。而作为母亲，木兰和陈妈的无私母爱是众多母亲的典范。在这些个性鲜明的女性角色中，我们可以窥见林语堂先生的独一无二的女性观。
本论文会从四方面进行论述，首先是林语堂先生的背景，已经京华烟云的写作背景介绍。然后深度探析林语堂先生的女性观。在此基础上，探究林语堂先生女性观的形成原因和局限。最后对整篇论文进行一个简要的总结。
