摘 要随着通信技术的发达，中西方之间跨民族、垮文化的婚姻也越来越平常。但中西方的婚俗文化尤其体现在中西国家婚姻中的吉祥文化存在着差异。本文主要通过对比分析中西方婚俗中吉祥文化的内涵以及中西方婚礼习俗的差异，并进一步探讨存在这些差异的原因来回答这一问题，这同时也使人们更好地了解中西方的文化差异，从而有助于人们在国际环境下跨文化的沟通与交流。27929

Abstract With the development of the communication technology, the contacts between people in Chinese and western countries are increasing. Cross-national and cross-cultural marriages are becoming more and more normal. But there are some differences of marriage culture between China and the west, which especially reflects in the auspicious culture of marriage in China and the west. This paper further discusses the reasons of these differences and answers these questions. Meanwhile, this paper not only makes people get a better understanding of cultural difference between China and the west, but also makes contribution to the cross-cultural and exchange under international environment.

The Comparative Analysis of Chinese and Western Traditional Marriage Customs in the Auspicious Culture
I. Introduction
It is well known that the world today is trending towards globalization, and the development of relations among different countries become more interlinked. While the marriage that as one kind of important Trans-Culture form causing this kind of world tendency become more complex, marriage is formed in a long historical evolution of the marriage cultures in a nation. Marriage is the first human relation since ancient times; we can get a clearer understanding of the human history, and explore the development of human society’s basic law through the intricate and beautiful wedding. As China’s reform and opening up and economic construction, the western society developed rapidly, more and more international communications take place today. In this case, the communication between countries is also increasing, which provides us with a lot of opportunities for exchanges and contacts with foreigners. But in such a world that economics, the culture develops rapidly, various scholars has wide pided opinions about how the marital culture’s difference is formed.
What is marriage? Marriage is going to spend a lifetime of the legal relationship between men and women. Marriage means that both sides of husband and wife have a correct understanding of each other’s rights, including the material rights, the child also has its special status in the marriage. In addition, the marriage also can directly is established between two strange family blood relationship. Because of marriage between two families plays such an important role in the relationship, therefore, in ancient times, Chinese people treat marriage are very cautious, or even see it as a shortcut to change life fate. The main purpose of the traditional Chinese marriage is a reproduction, family, maintain and improve the reputation and status of the family. Because marriage means to marry into a different surnames of woman, therefore, in order not to hurt the popularity of the family, the husband is very careful when choosing a marriage partner, choose a wife of the meaning of family is more important than inpidual. Marriage is no longer a man’s matter, but the whole family, the love is not the foundation of marriage. In ancient China, there are many established rules about marriage, such as the lives of their parents, their arranged, legally marry, suitable and so on. That is to say, men and women both parties must first by the matchmaker, parental consent before engagement, marriage. In addition, the past is a polygamous, and his wife has no equal rights. In contemporary China, fundamental changes have taken place in the purpose of marriage, no longer to maintain and improve the family reputation, status, for the purpose. Now, men and women both parties whether love has become the most important in the marriage, is also the most basic factor. Young people have the freedom to choose their own lover, parents rarely interfere. Although marriage is two steps including engagement, marriage, but etiquette has much more simplified than the past. Western traditional marriage is more open. For westerners, marriage is not the grave of love, but the perfect ending of love. Most westerners have experience marriage, namely live together before getting married, so that more closely to see if he/she really suitable for a life partner. Parents also say nothing. Couples married for love, not for the reputation and status of the family.
